Hello, I'm Duong

A quick hello, and what you can expect here

Hi, I’m Duong, a backend engineer. Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Grab a coffee, this won’t take long.

Who I am

I’m a backend engineer who loves building products and systems at scale, and designing how all the pieces fit together. I’ll use whatever language gets the job done. I like code that’s easy to read, easy to run, and easy to change six months later, when I’ve completely forgotten how it works. My favorite rule: keep it as simple as possible, but no simpler.

I also care about how teams work. Clear designs, good tests, and tools that save time instead of adding one more step to the checklist.

And I’m a lifelong learner. Most of what I know, I learned from someone kind enough to write it down. This blog is me paying that forward.

What you’ll find here

No hot takes, no daily news. Just posts I’d want to find myself:

  • Practical guides. Things I set up, fixed, or automated, with the commands that actually worked (not the five that didn’t).
  • Things I’m learning. New tools and ideas, and what I honestly think after using them for real.
  • Lessons from the job. Mistakes, surprises, and small habits that made my work better. Yes, I’ll share the mistakes too.

Stick around

Follow along with the RSS feed, browse by topic, or check out my code on GitHub. Want the longer story? Here’s more about me.

Thanks for stopping by. Let’s learn something together.
